So I decided to read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens over Christmas last year, I thought it’s Christmas I’ll have plenty of time to read this.
Boy was I wrong.
Christmas happened to be at our house this year, which ended up being the most crazy four days of my life. We had relatives coming and going all four days, we had meal after meal after meal to make and then came dessert.
I also had my cat sleeping in my room, which resulted in her waking me up at all hours of the night, leaving me tired everyday.
So in the end reading was the furthest thing from my mind.
But I’m determined to read it this year, it is now one of my new years resolutions. Third time lucky hopefully.
“But people themselves alter so much, that there is something new to be observed in them for ever.”

I finally decided to take part in The Classics Club Monthly Meme. I have been wanting to do this for the last few months but never got around to it, now I am.
What is your favourite memory of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol? Have you ever read it? If not, will you? Why should others read it rather then relying on the film adaption?
I started reading A Christmas Carol earlier this year but only got a few pages in then stopped. I’ve been wanting to go back to it all year but never did, until now.
I thought what a better time to read it then Christmas, so it is now sitting on my bedside table ready for when I finish the book I’m currently reading.
This will be my first Dickens book and I look forward to reading it and all his other books.
I recently found this on Tumblr, it’s so beautiful I just couldn’t resist sharing it.
I hope you all enjoy it like I did 🙂

( I’m one of these people, You can never have to many books)
I found these 3 books last month and have only now been able to take photos of them.
All 3 books I found at a second-hand store I quite frequently visit 🙂
Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Sorry for the bad Photos, I had to take them with my Ipod
It’s been almost five months since my last post and I would like to apologies for that.
At first I was having trouble deciding which book to read first, there are so many I want to read I had no idea where to start.
Then my computer crashed so we had to get that fixed which took 3 and a half weeks. A month later it crashed again, which is when we found out the hard drive was failing and not viruses like we thought the first time. So we had to get the hard drive replaced which took almost 6 weeks.
Now in a week I’m going on a 2 week holiday, which I can’t wait for. It will also give me the chance to sit outside on the balcony and read to my hearts content. 🙂
So I’m hoping to get back in to the swing of things when I get back.
Peace,Love & Books
